Eco Diva discovers Lavender in Lavender Hill
It’s not often that I come across some really great products, but ones with a conscience as well…. that’s very rare.
I came across a fabulous new product range, called Lavender in Lavender Hill. The range is fantastic and the social responsibility is something very close to my heart, so much so that I have put the Eco Diva stamp of approval on their range and now offer their products on our new SHOP. Their BATH SALTS are just yummy and you can feel all the stress and strain melting away as you soak in the bath.
The range is high quality, health beneficial, all natural lavender body and food products and were designed to have a social conscience while making you feel loved and pampered.
All products contain essential lavender oil, leaves or flowers and are crafted with the highest quality natural and organic ingredients. They are free from petrochemicals, parabens, synthetic fragrances and harmful chemicals. We do not test our products on animals, nor are any of our source products tested on animals. Their lavender tea and cooking herbs are the first of its kind in South Africa.
Lavender essential oil is known as the miracle oil and is good for: – relaxation & stress relief, headaches, muscular pain, flu & sinus problems, hair growth, skin problems (e.g. eczema, rashes, itchy skin, and sunburn), healing burns, insect bites, infections.
I love the fact that the products were created having the upliftment of the Lavender Hill community members in mind. This community is rife with gangs, drugs, crime and joblessness. The CEO of Lavender in Lavender Hill Products, Marcelle van Zyl, managed a NPO in Lavender Hill for two years. During this time she saw that there were many good people in the community and she became aware of their struggles and need for assistance. Lavender in Lavender Hill was started specifically to improve the quality of life of the community members
Their involvement indirectly by producing lavender products for sale and by simply buying one or more of these products people get involved. From the purchase of these products funds are created to assist in relieving suffering and poverty.
Most of their products are created by local community members, community groups and small enterprises ensuring income generation and opportunity creation. 15% of their net profit is ploughed back into the community of Lavender Hill.
Try them for yourself, you’ll not only be helping your own health and well being but will also be helping the community.
